Carolina Cobras Re-Sign First Team All-NAL Kicker TC Stevens

2021 NAL Special Teams Player of the Year Returns to Snake Pit

GREENSBORO, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the return of First Team All-NAL Kicker and Special Teams Player of the Year T.C. Stevens for the 2022 season.

Tony T.C. Stevens (5’ 11” 190, Hampton- Sydney) Coming off awards for First Team All-NAL and Special Teams Player of the Year, Stevens returns for year two with the Cobras.   Going 31 for 37 on Extra Point Attempts, 3 for 8 (though four of those were basically used as punts) on Field Goal Attempts, including the 26-yard game winner as time expired in Jersey in the opening game of the season, with seven deuces in 2021, he looks to make 2022 even better.  Awards are not rare for T.C. as he has been Special Teams Player of the Year twice before in the PIFL (2012 and 2015) and was First Team All-PIFL three times in four years while with the Richmond Raiders.  He has played for both the Washington Valor and Baltimore Brigade of the AFL.  When asked about coming back to Carolina, Stevens said, “Coach Res and Coach Fuller are two of the best coaches in the game.  Mr. Storm runs a first-class organization.  The fans, the dance team, and the arena make a great atmosphere for arena football.  There was never a doubt in my mind that I wanted to come back to be a part of something special in Greensboro!”

His message for Cobra Nation, “The message to Cobra Nation is simple.  We have unfinished business.  We love you as much as you love us, and we want to celebrate a championship with you in August.  But, before that can happen, the team needs to do our part and we need Cobra Nation to keep bringing the noise!”

Coach Resignalo said, “It is great to get TC back for the 2022 season. He didn’t quite have the season he expected as he was battling through some nagging injuries. With that he missed 1 game but finished strong the last couple games. His play towards the end of the season is what helped us make the push to playoffs. In doing so he was named Special Teams Player of the Year. That goes to show what type of player TC is. Overall, TC is the type of character we want representing Cobra Nation on and off the field. He for sure is one of the top kickers in the country and will be in the mix for 2022 NAL Special Teams Player of the Year Mon doubt!”
