The Columbus Lions resigned one of the most dangerous wide receivers in the National Arena League with Paris Mack coming back for another season. Mack, who only logged 10 games due to a couple nagging injuries, still put up big numbers that wowed the league.
Mack stood his ground in multiple categories. He finished third in the league in all purpose yards with an average of 96.9 yards per game while teammate Bones Bagaunte led the league. Mack would also edge out Carolina Cobras receiver Jordan Jolly for most reception yards per game with 87.1. Even with playing a couple of less games than league leaders, Mack finished 5th in the NAL in reception yards with 871 yards for the season while also hauling in 14 touchdowns. Most impressively, Mack lead the league in yards per catch with each reception averaging 17.4 yards. The next closest receiver was the Street’s Rob Jones with 13.2.
With Mack returning, the Lions will look to continue their success with the deep ball. Head coach Jason Gibson said it best when describing Mack, “Paris was a huge part of our offense last year. He has tremendous speed and can score from anywhere. He definitely brings excitement to the game.”
