ArenaBowl XXIV Hero will rejoin Sharks in 2017
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that wide receiver Jeron Harvey signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for the 2017 season.
Jeron Harvey (6’4”, 220) enters his seventh season with the Sharks, after playing for Sharks from 2010 until 2015. The All-Arena receiver spent his last season with the Sharks in 2015, where he caught 47 passes for 475 yards in 11 games. During his career, Harvey caught 493 passes for 5,445 yards, averaging 11 yards per catch. The 6’4 wide out had his best year in 2013, where he racked up 146 receptions for 1593 yards for 35 touchdowns.
Harvey had another great season when he was apart of the Sharks’ ArenaBowl Championship roster in 2011. That season, Harvey recorded 91 catches for 1,102 yards and 32 touchdowns. His most notable touchdown catch came from legendary quarterback Aaron Garcia as time expired at the end of ArenaBowl XXIV, which gave Jacksonville their first professional football championship beating the Arizona Rattlers 73-70.
Harvey started his college career at Dodge City Community College where he was rated a Top 25 JUCO Wide Receiver by collegefootballnews.com before transferring to the University of Houston where he earned All-Conference USA Honor Mention as a junior.
Harvey is a Jacksonville native and was a star at Andrew Jackson High School, amassing 20 catches for 400 yards and six touchdowns his senior year. Harvey was named First Team All-Gateway Conference, helping his team to a 11-1 record.
