New York Named First 2019 NAL Expansion Franchise
ATLANTA – The National Arena League Board of Advisors has unanimously approved an expansion team for the New York City market to play in the 2019 season. The National Arena League expects to hold a press conference on Tuesday, December 18 in New York City, where the team will announce its ownership, team name, colors, logo, arena, season ticket information and staff.
Expansion in 2018 proved very successful, as the NAL witnessed the Massachusetts Pirates, Maine Mammoths, and Carolina Cobras succeed on and off the field. The Massachusetts Pirates had the regular seasons’ best record, the Carolina Cobras became the National Arena League Champions and the Maine Mammoths earned Franchise of the Year in the National Arena League.
