NESN National, the National television service of the New England Sports Network, will re-broadcast six Massachusetts Pirates games the week of July 22.
Football fans across the country will get to see the talent that has made the Pirates the top team in the National Arena League. Quarterback Sean Brackett (Brooklyn, CT), wide receiver Devonn Brown (Long Beach, CA) and defensive back Kiante Northingtonton (Louisville, KY) are among the league’s statistical leaders along with other players on the Massachusetts roster who hail from a total of 15 states.
Viewers will gain valuable insight from former Arena Football League quarterback J. J. Raterink who teams up to call the games with Jon Meterparel, the voice of Boston College Athletics and international football announcer Mick Moninghoff, who called games in the China Arena Football League.
“Pirates president Jawad Yatim put together a broadcast team that does more than announce the game, we celebrate football, enjoy telling the stories of players who are trying to take their game to the next level and some who play for the love of the game,” Moninghoff said.
“NESN has been great to us this year, we have truly enjoy working with them and our production company Moody St. The coverage it provides our organization and league is second to none. To have our games aired on NESN throughout the season along with our TV show Pirates TV has been an honor, and hope to continue our relationship for years to come,” Yatim said.
Other guests who join the telecasts include New England Patriots linebacker Harvey Langi, Patriots broadcaster Scott Zolak and former Patriots Super Bowl Champion Patrick Pass.
