The Columbus Lions are excited to announce an expanded partnership with broadcast partner CTV Beam, ahead of the season premiere of “Roar Time with Jason Gibson”. Eric Fowler, voice of the Columbus Lions, returns for his second year as host of “Roar Time” along with head coach Jason Gibson. Gibson is entering his 12th season as the head coach of the Lions, and coming into 2018 has three straight championship game appearances.
The new season of “Roar Time” kicks off on March 8th with a preseason preview show, giving viewers an in-depth look at the new National Arena League season, and what to expect from the Lions in 2018. Coach Gibson will give fans a preview of the new players hoping to make the Lions roster, and the guys returning to The Jungle for another run at a championship.
“CTV Beam is excited to partner with the Lions again this season to bring the fun and informative Coach's show - Roar Time. We have a new set for the new season, we wanted them to have something fit for the Champions that they are. We are looking forward to the first episode to build excitement for the upcoming season” says Melissa Gaunt from CTV Beam.
Segments highlighting the achievements of Lions players on the field will also be returning for 2018. The Collision Surgeons Hit of the Game will spotlight one of the Lions’ defensive powerhouses each week, while the Allstate Good Hands of the Game honors the players making a difference with their ball-handling skills. The Home Inspectors Best Seat in the House will be given to a member of our military each Lions home game, and they’ll be spotlighted for their service during every show.
The premiere marks the debut of a brand new set for “Roar Time”, which reflects the high standards of professionalism that are a cornerstone of both the Columbus Lions and CTV Beam. “The Lions are thankful to partner with a local company like CTV Beam who has the same community values as the Lions. Not to mention the professionalism of the staff and our amazing new set” says Head Coach Jason Gibson.
The premiere of “Roar Time” will air March 8th at 8pm on CTV Channel 7 and 207. It replays on Friday March 15th at 2pm, and will be available for streaming on columbuslions.net following the broadcast. A new episode of “Roar Time” airs every Thursday evening during the regular season, with replays on Fridays at 2pm and Saturdays before kickoff.
