Rookie Offensive Lineman to have pro debut with Sharks
JACKSONVILLE- Kyron Samuels (6’2, 330) signs with the Jacksonville Sharks for his first year of arena football.
Samuels started college at East Central Community College in Decatur, Mississippi in 2012. In 2014, Samuels transferred to Jacksonville State University. That year, Samuels played in all 12 games and helped his team break an all-school record with the most average yards per game in the whole season at an average of 510.8 yards per game. Jacksonville University also converted on 85% of their third down conversions.
Samuels is a native of Fairhope, Alabama and was an offensive lineman at Fairhope High School. Samuels was eighth in his class (2012) leaving high school. He played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game in 2011 and was the team captain. He earned first-team all-region, all-county, and all-district honors.
