Mammoths signs Wide Receiver Edgar Poe - Former West Point Receiver comes to Maine to begin pro career

PORTLAND- Edgar Allen Poe (6’5, 220) signs with the Maine Mammoths for his rookie season of arena football. Poe made his own name for himself in college football playing for West Point. During his career with Army football he played in 37 games amassing 43 receptions for 982 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also served as a punt returner for the Black Knights where he returned 29 punts for 157 yards.

Poe is a native of Tucson, Arizona where he attended Cienega High School. During his high school career he was a two sport athlete in both track and football. As a football player, he was voted All-Region as a wide receiver hauling in 42 passes for 764 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior year.  

The Maine Mammoths are members of the National Arena League (NAL).
