Mammoths sign Wide Receiver Maurice Dupree - Veteran Receiver comes to Maine


PORTLAND- Maurice Dupree (5’10, 200) spent the 2017 season with the Monterrey Steel where he played in six regular season games for Monterrey and helped the team to the NAL Playoffs during the Steel’s  inaugural season. Dupree ended the year with 10 catches for 133 yards and four touchdowns. In 2014, Dupree spent a short time with the Jacksonville Sharks catching five passes for 62 yards following a successful season with the Alabama Hammers of the PIFL where he hauled in 20 receptions for 296 yards and four touchdowns. Dupree spent three season with the Columbus Lions where he played from 2012-2013. Dupree’s first taste of pro football came in 2009 when he was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars for rookie mini-camp, where he competed for a NFL roster spot immediately after college.

Dupree starred at Jacksonville State University, where he led in every major receiving category, totaling 49 receptions for 799 yards and 10 touchdowns. Dupree also made an impact on special teams, racking up 537 yards and a touchdown on 19 returns.

A native of Centre, Alabama, Dupree played for Cherokee County High School.
