Maine Mammoths Sign Veteran QB Jonathan Bane- 2014 PIFL Offensive Player of the Year comes to Maine


PORTLAND – One of the NAL’s newest expansion franchises, the Maine Mammoths are entering their inaugural season in 2018 and are excited to announce the signing of former PIFL Offensive Player of the Year Jonathan Bane.

Bane (6’3 205) signed with the Bismarck Bucks of the CIF in 2017,  where he played seven games and was placed on injured reserve later in the season.  Before that, he played for the Tampa Bay Storm of the AFL and Colorado Crush of the IFL in 2016. In 2015, Bane signed with the Bloomington Edge of the CIF, and was later selected to the Major League Football Draft. From 2014-2015, Bane began his professional career with the Richmond Raiders (PIFL) where he earned PIFL Offensive Player of the Year as a Rookie. 

Jonathan Bane is a native of Temple, Texas and played college football from 2010-2013 at Dakota Wesleyan University where he set a school record for passing yards in a game, longest pass in a game for 99 yards and most passing yards in a season with 2,817. He also earned Honorable Mention All-GPAC accolades in 2012 and 2013.

The Maine Mammoths are members of the National Arena League (NAL).
