Former Spokane Empire Lineman joins Jacksonville
JACKSONVILLE – The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that Defensive Lineman O.J. Mau has signed with the Jacksonville Sharks for the 2018 season for his second year of arena football and first season with the Sharks.
Mau (6’1”, 305) spent the 2017 season with the Spokane Empire where he played in four games totaling 10 tackles during his rookie season. Prior to the Empire, Mau spent time in training camps with the Ottawa Redblacks of the CFL and the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL.
Mau spent his collegiate career at Gardner-Webb University where he played in 45 games recording 194 tackles, 13 sacks, 34.5 tackles for a loss and two forced fumbles. Mau became a three-time All-Big South lineman and was a FCS All-American his junior year. Mau is a native of Masefau, American Samoa where he played at Fagaitua High School.
